In this article we will explain something about alternative clients. Most people that chat using the Messenger Network simply install the latest version of Windows Live Messenger and are clear to go. There are several cases though in what using an alternative client might be better suited for you. It is possible that you dislike the normal client or that it doesn't even let you install. It is also possible that you are using more then one chat network and prefer to have them all connect via one program. Alternative clients may add functionality but at the same time remove some. It might take some time before you find out which one suits best for you.
Below follows a list of available clients divided in three groups.
Single Network clients that connect via the Messenger network.
Multi client support clients that work with Messenger but also other networks like ICQ, AIM and Yahoo Messenger.
Clients that work via Internet Explorer or your favourite browser.
