When you start Windows Live Messenger you cannot sign in, and you get error code 81000377 along with the message:
You cannot use Messenger at this time because your contact list is not available. Please try again later.
Click Help to learn more about your contact list. 81000377
To resolve this issue, check if Windows Live Messenger is allowed internet access by your firewall. Also be sure you are using the latest version of Windows Live Messenger. After installing you may have to adjust your firewall settings to allow Messenger to connect to the internet again.
